The Council's primary role is to advise the pastor concerning the administration of the parish, to promote parish life, to encourage the involvement of the laity.

The Pastoral Council Election Committee is seeking nominations of candidates for the upcoming election to be held August 19-20. We need Christian leadership to help support our pastoral life and the spiritual growth of our parish. This year, 9 candidates will be elected: 5 males and 4 females.
In order to be considered for this ministry, all candidates MUST:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a baptized, practicing Catholic
- Be a registered member of Holy Ghost Parish (In Good Standing) for at least 3 years (Membership determined by parish support through envelope usage.)
- Be a participant in the ongoing worship life of our parish, especially Sunday Eucharist
- Possess a willingness to serve on at least one commission
- Be able to attend Pastoral Council meetings on the 2nd Thursday of the month
- Be Committed to serving a three-year term
If you know of a parishioner, yourself included, who has the gift for pastoral council leadership, please submit their name today! All nominations are due by Sunday, July 30, 2023. Nominees will be asked to attend an information session on August 3 at 6:00 PM. They will have the option to remain in the election process or decline the opportunity.
